  • Triple Point

    Triple Point is a program at Akin that serves 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their families. Services include weekly support groups for middle school and high school age youth located in Vancouver, and monthly support groups for all ages family members located in Vancouver and Washougal. Additional services include professional trainings for creating safe spaces for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, positive youth development activities, and knowledge on resources specific to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community such as mental health, gender affirming care, gender affirming clothing, grief, recovery, and much more!

    Dandelion Tea and Apothecary is a 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming teahouse in Vancouver. They frequently hold events for the queer community.

    White Oaks books is a 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming bookstore. They have an extensive collection of queer literature for all ages and hold several monthly meet ups including the Queer Youth Book Club and the Queer Young Adults Meetup sponsored by QYRC.

  • Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL)

    Our regional library is very affirming to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. They have a collection of 2SLGBTQIA+ related books and feature 2SLGBTQIA+ books and authors during PRIDE month. FVRL has an online queer discussion group, Reflecting Rainbows, which meets monthly. Check their website for more information.

  • Northwest Gender Alliance

    NWGA.  Northwest Gender Alliance.  The NWGA is a non-profit social, support and educational group. We welcome people from the whole gender spectrum. We hold monthly open meetings and sponsor a variety of transgender social functions throughout the year, and provide educational forums for public and private organizations or individuals interested in learning more about the transgender experience and the gender spectrum. Our members find support, understanding and acceptance on a one-to-one basis from others who face similar challenges in life.

    SMYRC provides a safe, supervised, harassment-free space for sexual and gender minority youth ages 13-23 who participate in positive activities like art, music, community organizing, open mic nights, drag shows, and support groups and receive services including case management, counseling, education, and more.     Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led 24/7 hotline for transgender people experiencing crisis. This includes people who may be struggling with their gender identity.     The LGBT National Help Center is the only non-profit, nationwide, toll-free information, referral, and peer-counseling line of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people of all ages. The site offers online peer support chat, youth chatrooms, and multiple hotlines, including one for youth and one for seniors.

    The National SOGIE Center (The National Center for Youth with Diverse Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression)

    Provides a centralized site for accessing resources on providing culturally responsive care to children, youth, young adults with diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression (SOGIE) and their families across systems, including child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health (including school mental health), substance use systems, and housing and homelessness.
