Welcome to PFLAG Vancouver

PFLAG Vancouver is a dedicated chapter of the nation's first organization committed to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies. Serving the greater Vancouver area, we work to build a safe, inclusive, and affirming community by promoting understanding and challenging discrimination.

Our Mission

To create a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

Learn More About PFLAG National

Hope Isn’t Abstract. It’s Action.

And hope and action are needed today more than ever—

Because every day across our country, LGBTQ+ individuals and families face challenges no one should have to face alone:

  • Bans on gender-affirming health care
  • Transgender military ban
  • Shutdown of the national suicide prevention hotline
  • Bans on trans girls’ participation in girls’ sports
  • High rates of discrimination, homelessness, joblessness, poverty, suicide, and violence against LGBTQ+ youth and adults, especially those who are trans or people of color.

BUT YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE—YOU MAY EVEN SAVE A LIFE

Here at PFLAG Vancouver, we don’t just care about the LGBTQ+ community—we show up:

  • At monthly support meetings, public gatherings, and legislative days
  • Through letters to editors, educational materials, and personal contacts
  • At schools, educating staff on the needs of LGBTQ+ students
  • At public events, where we educate the public, dispel misinformation, and promote understanding and acceptance of people of all genders and sexual orientations

We’re moving toward our vision of a world where every LGBTQ+ person is safe, loved, empowered, and celebrated.

BUT TO GET THERE, WE NEED YOU!
CHOOSE THE WAYS YOU WANT TO HELP
